Northern Flooring & Interiors joins the national Design for a Difference movement, a community-driven designer movement sponsored by the International Design Guild, a co-op of home décor showrooms specializing in high quality designer floor coverings, with a commitment to makeover Dutton Farm, a nonprofit that serves individuals with mental, physical and emotional impairments. Joining forces with local designers Holly Gyarmati, Katie Rodriguez, and Tina DiVergilio, Northern Flooring & Interiors plans to complete the makeover in the fall of 2016. The scope of the makeover is still being determined and will be dependent on the success of their fundraising efforts. Preliminary improvements include the kitchen, dining room and entry, with other areas under evaluation.

“The Design for a Difference movement represents a tremendous opportunity for us to make an impact in the community,” said Matt Pfeiffer owner of Northern Flooring & Interiors. I look forward to rallying other business owners and community members to giving back to Dutton Farm that helps so many individuals and families in Oakland County.
Founded by local resident Jenny Brown, Dutton Farm offers life and vocational skill programs that encourages participants to lead active and fulfilling lives. Often forgotten, this segment of our population is so truly deserving of our communities support.

Anyone interested in getting involved in the movement should contact Northern Flooring & Interiors or go to Crowdrise to donate.
